SPEXTER
Nobody has to walk the road first. Before a RAVLYK commits to a route, SPEXTER drives it at a steady walking pace: a deliberately simple, tough and low-cost tracked vehicle, so the ground is proved by a machine instead of a person, and if something on the route goes wrong you replace a vehicle, not a soldier. It is built by Iron Shield, on Iron Shield IP, and carries the same radio and control link as RAVLYK, so both run in one operator software environment and a crew trained on one can drive the other.

How it is used
SPEXTER carries the risk, not the crew.
Where RAVLYK carries the load, SPEXTER carries the risk. It moves ahead of the force at walking pace and proves the route before a RAVLYK or a soldier on foot commits to it: ahead of RAVLYK, ahead of troops on foot, and into ground nobody should have to check in person.
It is deliberately simple and low cost, so losing one on the route is an acceptable outcome rather than a casualty. And because it carries RAVLYK’s radio, one operator environment and one trained crew cover both vehicles.
Flat-deck base platform
Carries stores, sensors and mission kit on the standard tracked base.
Blade configuration
A front blade for route clearing and obstacle work, pushing debris, soft obstructions and light barricades clear of the path at the same walking pace.
Expendable by design
Priced to be sent first, so a vehicle lost on the route is a vehicle, not a casualty.
One operator environment
The same radio and control link as RAVLYK, at the same signal range: a crew trained on one can drive the other.

Every SPEXTER leaves the line with built-in GPS / GNSS, the RAVLYK radio and a remote good to 500 m. Iron Shield Systems options build on that base, and every option listed can be ordered today.
On every vehicle
Tracked base with a flat deck for stores, sensors and mission kit; built-in GPS / GNSS; PWM / CAN remote control up to 500 m; the RAVLYK radio and control link; 48 V, 100 Ah battery with 1.8 kW × 2 drive; gradients up to 45°.
Blade configuration
A front blade on the same tracked base for route clearing and obstacle work, with the flat deck retained behind the blade for stores or sensors.
Starlink connectivity
Control and data beyond radio reach.
Follow-me
Follows a designated person on foot.
Automatic path following
Drives a route on pre-determined GNSS waypoints.
Extended-range controller
Remote control beyond the standard 500 m. Further configurations are built to order under non-disclosure agreement.
